Buyers write “need Olympic bars, 20 kg, chrome.” That line can mean a all-purpose training bar, a power bar, or a weightlifting bar. Knurl depth, center knurl yes/no, bushing vs bearing sleeves, and stated load rating all change cost and feel. Clubs that deadlift heavy on a soft weightlifting bar complain about whip; weightlifting rooms that receive aggressive power knurl complain about hand tear.
